Some of us chose a type of business that is international in nature. As a logical result, you might need to travel regularly. Although travel can be very challenging, when traveling a lot, it can be pretty hard if you leave family behind, especially when you have (small) children.
So whenever you are traveling, it is wise to prepare yourself as good as possible. First of all, if you are traveling no more than a few days, you will be fine with a small suitcase. No need to bring too much clothes and such, depending on the type of business you’re doing you might need to add a suit.
If you are traveling longer than a few days, say a few weeks, it might be a good idea to see if you can bring your family with you. Although this is often hard to arrange if your children attend school, if they’re smaller you will benefit in many ways, as you will still be with them and your spouse, making your stay abroad easier. And in some ways, it could be perceived as a vacation trip by your family. Great!
